Sooo... You may be wondering who I am and what exactly I am doing here. Well, for starters, my name is Kylee Nicole Smith, but my artistic name is Kylee Nicole. I am a homeschool graduate and my dream is to become a Search and Rescue dog trainer. However, I am also an artist and love to do my best to represent the beautiful world around us using color and texture. I started painting before I could write, often making a huge mess in our kitchen. When I was 12 my grandma gave me her oil painting materials and off I went. I have shown artwork at county, state, and regional levels in a variety of competitions and art shows. My paintings have won awards in all the above-mentioned levels. Currently you can find the largest public collection of my works in the Spanish Peaks Arts Council (SPACe) gallery in La Veta, Colorado.

What I do now........ and what I might consider doing
Currently I am most often a painter of landscapes and colorful flora. These paintings are available at SPACe in the gift shop. I also enter occasionally in the art shows that they host where you can enjoy a bigger scale than is in the gift shop. All of the paintings at SPACe are for sale and a portion of the revenues go to expanding art education in the Spanish Peaks region.
While I have never personally conducted a children's art workshop, I love to teach and share my passion for creating with younger students. I am willing and prepared to orchestrate a weeklong children's workshop focusing on introducing the arts and demonstrating how much fun creating can truly be. My goal is to bring joy to the students and open up new ways of expressing artistic imaginations.
