Winter
We are all thinking about winter right now. Snow is on the ground (and whizzing by on 30mph wind gust), and icicles are hanging from the eves. These paintings are inspired by both the frosty and the warm moments so well-known during this season.

Wintertime
Winter is a special time of year. I know that saying is horribly cliche, but that fact does not make it any less true. Christmas is a time of celebration and remembrance. The winter season is cold, like really cold when you live in Colorado. Our house is always warm with a blazing fire in the wood-burning stove. Hot chocolate warms you even more from the inside out. Seriously, with all the things listed above, what is not to like about the last month of the year? All of the paintings below are attempts at recreating and expressing the joy I feel in winter. It is a time of rest and rejuvenation, so I hope these paintings are joyful, expressive, and just a touch frosty. A few of these are several years old, so pardon the vivid inexperience in the technique and just focus on the fun portrayed within their borders.
